Description:
Job Summary: Directs and holds Label Finishing and Press employees accountable to meet day-to-day production requirements and implements processes to meet safety, quality and productivity goals; motivates, coaches and mentors employees.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs responsibilities outlined in Leader Standard Work:
- Communicates at shift crossover with Production Group Leader regarding maintenance, productivity, quality and staffing
- Communicates, sets goals, assess and problem solve four times throughout shift
- Assesses, investigates, PDCA
- Maintains kanban of supplies
- Verifies Syspro entries
- Completes tasks; Bigfoot preventative maintenance and work orders
- Reviews HRIS to edt and approve employee timecards and approve requests for time away
- Employee Accountability Cycle - (Coach, counsel, performance reviews, progressive discipline)
2. Provides Operations Managers with data to maintain Operations skills matrix.
Competencies:
Assertive, coach, lead, teach, good verbal and written communication skills, manage conflict, decision maker, detail oreinted, good interpersonal skills, promotes team work, support of safety, quality and productivity initiatives, time management
Prerequisites: Associate degree in Supervisory Management and/or a minimum of 3-5 years experience in production operation including management of people, process implementation and purchasing is preferred; broad understanding of Label Finishing and Press processes, equipment, methods and procedures is required.
Physical Requirements: Must meet physical requirements identified in work screen protocol; visual acuity corrected to 20/40. Must pass Ishihara Color Assessment and receive an average/normal color vision on Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hues and D-15.
