Job Summary:    This position will work with other programmers to develop, test, and maintain new and existing computer applications utilizing a variety of programming languages and tools in an effort to continuously improve safety, quality and productivity.

Job Responsibilities:  

  1. Develops or modifies computer applications using VB.NET, Javascript, JQuery, and other tools to meet business needs.
  2. Assists in the design, development and support of critical business reports.
  3. Maintains data files and relational database objects to ensure data integrity.
  4. Performs “help desk” function of troubleshooting (identifying, researching and resolving) application problems as well as answering questions and assisting users.
  5. Documents systems and applications according to common business standards.
  6. Stays current within the technology, printing and distribution industries.
  7. Assists in department problem solving.
  8. Assists in establishing project tasks, schedules, and budgets.
  9. Interacts with end users (individuals and groups) to understand their processes and requirements.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Prerequisites:   An Associate degree or bachelor degree in Computer Science or a similar study is required. Current language requirements include HTML, DHTML, XML, ASP.Net, Visual Basic, SQL Reporting Services, Javascript, JQuery, and VBScript. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including experience creating tables, queries, views, functions, stored procedures, DTS packages, and jobs is preferred.

Physical Requirements:   Must meet physical requirements stated in work screen protocol (Pod A); Visual acuity corrected to 20/40 is required.
